Emmy Trela Obituary: 22-Year-Old Dies in Fatal State Highway 63 Crash
The Jasper community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Emmy Trela, 22, whose life was tragically cut short following a crash on State Highway 63.
Trela had recently moved from Tennessee to Jasper, where she was beginning a new chapter of her life. That new beginning was suddenly ended Friday evening following a collision that claimed her life.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. on State Highway 63 near County Road 168.
Investigators said Trela was traveling westbound when she slowed her SUV as she prepared to make a left turn onto County Road 168. Her vehicle was then struck from behind, leading to the fatal crash.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation as authorities work to establish the full sequence of events.
