Brian Conwell Obituary: 55-Year-Old Dies After Drowning at Lake Wawasee
With broken hearts, family, friends and members of the community are mourning the tragic loss of Brian Conwell, 55, who reportedly died following an accidental drowning at Lake Wawasee on Friday.
According to authorities, Kosciusko County Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 2 p.m. after Conwell was reported missing. He had last been seen in the area of the Lake Wawasee sandbar.
A large emergency response followed as multiple agencies joined the search for Conwell. Indiana Conservation Officers, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, the Warsaw Fire Department, the Warsaw Police Department, Indiana State Police and local fire departments responded to the area.
Dive teams also assisted emergency crews as the search continued across the lake.
