James Cody Bryant, 30, of Bellingham, Washington, has been arrested and charged by U.S. federal authorities in connection with the deadly February 2026 school shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.

Overall, eight people were killed in the attack, while 25 others were wounded. Van Rootselaar later died by suicide.
