Tristan, who was a passenger in the Sierra, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries, leaving family and friends heartbroken and struggling to comprehend the sudden loss.
The crash also left several others injured, including the driver of the Sierra, 19-year-old River L. McDowell, a juvenile passenger, and the driver of the Ford, 21-year-old George Jarvie, all of whom were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
