According to authorities, the heartbreaking crash happened at approximately 11:38 a.m. on FM 2220, south of 6 Mile Line. A Toyota Scion traveling southbound crossed into the northbound lane, where it collided with a Cadillac Escalade.
Fabien Diego Guerrero, 31, was driving the Toyota when the collision occurred. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His father, Fabien Guerrero, 64, was also inside the Toyota. He was transported to DHR for treatment following the crash but later succumbed to his injuries.
