A family, a community and all those who knew and loved Tirith J. Patel, 22, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, are facing an unimaginable loss following his tragic death in Lake Michigan on Chicago’s North Side.
Tirith’s life came to a heartbreaking end Wednesday after he was pulled from the water near Belmont Harbor. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, he was pronounced dead at 10:34 a.m. in the 300 block of West Belmont Avenue.
Authorities reported that Patel was pulled from Lake Michigan at approximately 10:20 a.m. The circumstances surrounding how he entered the water remained unclear.
