Cindy Kreider Death Obituary: 65-Year-Old Vail, AZ Woman Found Dead as Pima County Homicide Investigation Continues
The Vail, Arizona community is mourning the tragic death of Cindy Kreider, 65, whose body was discovered inside her home on Friday, July 24, 2026. As family and friends grieve the sudden loss, authorities continue an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a residence in the 13600 block of Hampden Green Way after receiving a request for a welfare check. Upon entering the home, deputies found Cindy Kreider deceased.
Investigators said evidence at the scene prompted an immediate response from the Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit. Detectives reported observing signs of trauma and other evidence that led authorities to classify the case as a suspicious death requiring further investigation.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the Sheriff’s Department issued a Be On the Lookout alert for a person of interest detectives wish to question. The individual is described as a 38-year-old Hispanic male with a thin build, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. Investigators believe he may be driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck.
Officials emphasized that the individual is currently being sought for questioning, and no criminal charges have been announced. Detectives have not publicly identified any suspect or confirmed the exact circumstances surrounding Kreider’s death.
The Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner is assisting with the investigation and will determine the official cause and manner of death following an autopsy.
