The Austin community is mourning the tragic loss of Kristen Davis Marroquin, a respected technology executive, devoted mother, and lifelong Central Texas resident who died following a devastating traffic collision on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Marroquin, who served as senior manager of global strategic customer success at Procore Technologies, was widely admired for her leadership in the enterprise software industry and her commitment to mentoring colleagues while balancing family life. Her sudden death has deeply affected not only those who worked alongside her but also friends, neighbors, and the wider Austin community.
According to the Austin Police Department and Austin-Travis County EMS, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 5:42 p.m. on July 7 following reports of a serious collision on the 500 block of East Ben White Boulevard’s westbound service road in South Austin.
Investigators said Marroquin was traveling in a wheelchair when she was struck by a motor vehicle on the frontage road. First responders found her with critical injuries and immediately began life-saving efforts. Despite their response, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed that the driver involved remained at the location and has cooperated fully with investigators. No criminal charges have been announced, and the Austin Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
At Procore Technologies, she led strategic customer success initiatives for some of the company’s largest global accounts, helping organizations strengthen long-term customer relationships and drive business growth. Before joining Procore, Marroquin spent nearly a decade at Bazaarvoice, where she advanced through several leadership positions supporting enterprise clients in the United States and internationally, including work in Australia and New York.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations before launching a career that earned widespread respect across the technology sector.
