The South Plains community is mourning the devastating loss of 44-year-old Felicia Flores and 14-year-old Siana Rodriguez, who both died following a two-vehicle collision on Thursday evening, July 2, 2026, in Hockley County, Texas.
According to preliminary crash reports from state authorities, the collision occurred at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 1585 and Farm-to-Market Road 168. Investigators say a pickup truck pulling a utility trailer failed to yield at the intersection, entering the path of a second pickup truck driven by Felicia Flores. The impact caused Flores’ vehicle to strike the trailer, lose control, and overturn multiple times.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash and attempted lifesaving measures, but both Felicia Flores and Siana Rodriguez were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third passenger sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
