Born on April 3, 1987, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Mikey was the beloved son of the late Michael Silva and Cheryl Begley. Raised in Lowell, he attended Lowell High School and spent much of his life in the city he proudly called home. Throughout his years, Mikey built lasting friendships and became known for his genuine personality, compassionate spirit, and ability to make others feel welcomed and appreciated.
Mikey possessed a generous heart that seemed to know no limits. He had a natural gift for connecting with people and making them feel like family. Whether through a simple conversation, a shared laugh, or an act of kindness, he had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His warmth and authenticity drew people toward him, and his friendships often became lifelong bonds built on loyalty, trust, and mutual respect.
Family was the foundation of Mikey’s life. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with the people he loved most. He cherished family gatherings, special occasions, and even the everyday moments that many take for granted. Above all, he shared a particularly close bond with his mother and his beloved Nana, both of whom occupied a special place in his heart. Their love, support, and presence helped shape the compassionate man he became.
Those who knew Mikey understood the depth of his devotion to his family. He celebrated their successes, stood beside them during difficult times, and treasured every opportunity to create memories together. His love was constant, genuine, and deeply felt by everyone fortunate enough to be part of his life.
Professionally, Mikey spent his working years in the food service industry, where his personable nature and strong work ethic made him a valued colleague and friend. To his family, Mikey was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He leaves behind his loving mother, Cheryl Begley, and her significant other, Michael McQuaid, both of Lowell, whose unwavering love and support remained constants throughout his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Nicholas Silva of Melbourne, Florida, and Ryan Silva of Lowell, along with Ryan’s fiancée, Amanda Milinazzo, and their children, Elias and Harlee, who brought joy and pride to Mikey’s life.
He is further survived by his grandmothers, Genevieve Silva and Rita Begley; his uncle and aunt, Jerry and Kelly Begley; his cousins, including Johnny Begley and Dennis Begley; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members, and countless dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Mikey was preceded in death by his father, Michael Silva, and his grandfather, Larry Begley. Though reunited with loved ones who have gone before him, his absence is deeply felt by those who remain.
As family and friends gather to honor Mikey’s life, they will remember not only the years he lived but the love he shared. They will remember his generous spirit, his laughter, his loyalty, and his ability to brighten even the darkest days. They will remember the conversations, the music, the family gatherings, and the countless moments that now become treasured memories.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home in Lowell, Massachusetts. A service of remembrance will follow at 7:00 p.m., providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together, celebrate Mikey’s life, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
