As the investigation expanded, a third victim was located nearby on 64th Avenue and transported for medical treatment. Police said the injured individual survived but did not immediately release further details about their condition.

Investigators believe the gunfire spread across multiple nearby streets, suggesting the shooting covered a wider area and unfolded rapidly. Evidence has been collected from several locations as detectives work to reconstruct the timeline of events.

Despite the tragedy, officials noted that homicides in Oakland have reportedly declined by 39% in early 2026 compared to the previous year. However, incidents like Saturday’s shooting continue to heighten fear and uncertainty among residents.
