Waterloo Stabbing Investigation: Man Dies After Fatal Incident in Sydney
A man in his 30s has died following a stabbing in Waterloo, Sydney, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
Emergency services were called to a unit block on Pitt Street shortly before 7:20 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of an assault. When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from a stab wound to his torso.
He was treated by emergency responders at the scene before being transported to St Vincent’s Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he later died at approximately 8:45 p.m.
A woman, also reportedly in her 30s, was present at the location and sustained a minor head injury. She was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
Police have confirmed that the man’s identity has not yet been formally established as investigations continue into what led to the fatal stabbing.
Authorities are working to determine the events surrounding the incident, while further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
