Noah W. Thomas Obituary: Buffalo Community Mourns 23-Year-Old Remembered for His Kindness and Lasting Legacy
The Buffalo, New York, community is mourning the loss of Noah W. Thomas, who passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 23. His passing has left family, friends, and loved ones grieving the loss of a young man whose kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit touched many lives.

Noah was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Isaiah Castillo.
He is survived by his parents, Tracy Stein and Jose Castillo; his siblings, Jose Castillo Jr., Tiffany Blackman (Robert), Earl Stein, Makai Castillo (Natalie Teglash), and Selena Castillo. He also leaves behind his cherished pet, Mylo, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Family and friends gathered to honor Noah’s life during visitation held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc., followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Noah’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice, reflecting the compassion and generosity that defined his life.
As family, friends, and the Buffalo community continue to mourn his passing, they also celebrate the love, laughter, and treasured memories Noah leaves behind. Though his life ended far too soon, his legacy will endure through those who knew him and the lives he touched.
