Anthony L. Tem Fatal Shooting: 21-Year-Old Arrested on Murder Charge Following Fatal East Moline Shooting – Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that left one man dead Tuesday morning in East Moline, Illinois, and resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect on a first-degree murder charge.
According to the East Moline Police Department, officers responded at approximately 6:30 a.m. to the Crowne Forest Apartment Complex on 49th Avenue Court after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they located a man inside an apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Following the incident, the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Anthony L. Tem of Rock Island, was located by the Rock Island Police Department near 5th Street and 39th Avenue at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Officials reported that Tem attempted to flee from officers, leading to a brief pursuit during which he drove into an apartment building at the Maple Ridge Apartment Complex. Police say the suspect ultimately surrendered and was taken into custody at around 9:10 a.m.
Tem has been booked into the Rock Island County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder, pending formal charges as the investigation continues.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under active investigation.
