Jack Lagasse Obituary, Death: In Loving Memory of Jack Lagasse – Van Buren, Maine – Aurele “Jack” Joseph Lagasse, passed away at the age of 91 on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Cary Medical Center surrounded by his wife and sons. He was born August 23, 1930, in Keegan, the son of the late Raymond Lagasse and Catherine (Dumond) Voisine.
He grew up in Keegan, one street away from his future wife, Cecilia. The couple married in 1952 before he was deployed for military service with the Army. While stationed in England, he witnessed the coronation parade of Queen Elizabeth II. Jack was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post #49, an accomplished woodworker, welder, machinist and fabricator, and an avid gardener.
Jack was predeceased by his parents; and five sisters, Isabelle Boucher, Florence Brown, Albertine Beaulieu, Dora Lemay and Martha Cyr. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia (Caron) Lagasse; four sons, Allan Lagasse and wife, Stella, of Van Buren, Marc Lagasse and wife, Debra, of Van Buren, Jeffrey Lagasse and wife, Jackie, of Caribou, and Wayne Lagasse and wife, Gail, of Jenson Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Nikki, Amy, Jeremy and Stacy; and seven great-grandchildren, Hailee, Pierce, Asa, Ari, Payton, Evelyn and Gabriel.
Interment will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers kindly donate to the Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle, ME.
